Dear students, a very warm welcome to our Multimedia Development Workshop's social corner. In here, we share our findings and resources and discuss the nitty gritty issues and details on the design and development of Multimedia IT systems. We appreciate constructive yet creative and innovative feedbacks, ideas and findings. Last but not least, shall we start the ball rolling...


You are given the task of developing a multimedia information retrieval system. Please see below for the list of multimedia system:

1. An e-commerce system for an online Supermarket
2. A web based interactive encyclopaedia featuring articles, images, audio and video clips.
3. An online database of music, video or video games review featuring screenshots, audio and video clips.
4. A content-based image retrieval using colour, texture and keyword search

Please see below for some of the recommended tools for the list of respective systems:

Things you need to do:
- Form your team of 4-5 members
- Set up team information (member id, member name, contact information)
- Based on the above list, choose the multimedia system to work on for your assignment
